PC Building & Customization

No worries at all. If you’re unsure what specs would suit you best, feel free to get in touch and I’ll happily point you in the right direction. Just let me know things like what games or software you plan to use and your budget, and I can recommend a system that makes the most sense for you. I’m always happy to help both before and after a purchase, whether that’s choosing parts now or upgrading in the future.
It depends on the system. For brand new custom PCs, I only use brand new, genuine components from reputable manufacturers. For refurbished systems, some parts may be from older generations. I always make this very clear in the product description so you know exactly what you’re getting. Transparency is really important to me, so every listing explains the hardware generation and condition. If you’re ever unsure about a system, just drop me a message and I’ll happily clarify.
Absolutely. Every PC is personally built by me and fully tested before it leaves. I run stability tests, check temperatures, make sure everything is performing as it should, and tidy up all the cabling so the system arrives ready to go. Nothing is shipped until I’m confident it’s running exactly as it should.
Yes, all systems come with Windows installed and ready to go unless otherwise stated. I’ll install and activate it before shipping so the PC arrives plug-and-play. All drivers will already be installed as well, so you can get straight into using it.
If a part becomes unavailable while your PC is being prepared, I’ll always contact you first to discuss the options. Usually this means: offering an equivalent part offering a free upgrade if available or waiting for the original part if that’s what you’d prefer Nothing gets changed without your approval first.
By default, I keep systems running at their standard settings. This ensures maximum stability and long-term reliability. Some components (like GPUs) may come factory-overclocked from the manufacturer, which is completely normal. If you’re interested in custom tuning or performance tweaks, feel free to ask and I can advise what’s possible.
Once an order is placed, I begin preparing the build. Most custom PCs take around 5–7 working days to build, test, and prepare for dispatch. Once everything is ready, it’s shipped via UPS tracked delivery. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process and send tracking details as soon as the system is on its way.

Shipping & Delivery

Most PCs listed on the site are built and ready to ship within 3–5 working days. If you’ve chosen a custom configuration or upgrades, it may take a little longer while I build and test the system, usually around 5–7 working days. I always aim to get systems out as quickly as possible without rushing the testing process.
All systems are shipped using UPS Standard next-day delivery. Once your PC is dispatched, it should normally arrive the following working day after shipment.
Yes. As soon as your PC is dispatched, I’ll send over your UPS tracking details so you can follow the delivery. You’ll also receive delivery updates directly from UPS.
Absolutely. PCs are carefully packaged to make sure they arrive safely. This includes: Secure internal packaging to protect components Protective outer packaging Extra padding where needed I take packaging seriously because shipping a full PC safely is extremely important.
If UPS attempts delivery and you’re not available, they’ll usually either: Leave the parcel in a designated safe place, Attempt re-delivery, Or Leave instructions for collection or rearranging delivery You’ll be able to manage this through your UPS tracking link.
If you need to change your delivery address, please contact me as soon as possible. If the PC hasn’t been dispatched yet, I can usually update the shipping details without any issue.
Yes, I ship PCs across the UK using UPS next-day delivery. If you're located in a more remote area, delivery may occasionally take an extra day depending on the courier route.
At the moment, systems are primarily shipped within the UK. If you're outside the UK and interested in a system, feel free to get in touch and I can see what options may be available.

Returns & Warranty

New PCs come with a 36-month DLBuilds warranty covering hardware faults under normal use Refurbished PCs come with a 12-month DLBuilds warranty covering hardware faults under normal use. If a component fails during that time, I’ll arrange to have the system repaired or the faulty part replaced. Many components also carry their own manufacturer warranties, and I include original boxes where possible so these remain intact.
If you experience any issues, just get in touch and I’ll help troubleshoot the problem. Often it’s something simple that can be resolved quickly, but if a part has genuinely failed under warranty, I’ll arrange collection and repair. My goal is always to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. The system must be returned in the same condition it was received in. Once the PC arrives back and is checked over, I’ll process the refund. If you're unsure about anything before purchasing, feel free to ask first and I’ll happily help you choose the right system.
While this is extremely rare, if a PC arrives damaged during shipping please contact me as soon as possible. I may ask for a few photos of: the PC, the packaging and the shipping box This helps me resolve the issue quickly with the courier and arrange a solution for you.
The warranty covers hardware faults caused by normal use. Unfortunately it doesn’t cover damage caused by things like: electrical damage liquid spills physical damage incorrect modifications If you're ever unsure about upgrading or changing something, just ask first and I’ll happily guide you.
If a component fails within the warranty period, I’ll arrange to have the system collected and repaired. Once fixed, it will be fully tested again before being sent back to you.
Absolutely. Most DLBuilds systems are designed to be upgrade friendly, so things like storage, RAM, and graphics cards can easily be upgraded later. If you’re ever unsure about compatibility, feel free to message me and I’ll happily advise.
Yes, refurbished systems come with a 12-month warranty. Every refurbished PC is fully tested and verified before sale to ensure it’s running exactly as it should.

Support & Troubleshooting

This is usually a quick fix. First, make sure your monitor cable is plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard. The graphics card ports are located lower down on the back of the PC. If it's already connected correctly, try: Reseating the HDMI/DisplayPort cable Restarting the PC and monitor Trying a different display cable if available If you're still stuck, just get in touch and I’ll help you work through it.
Start with a few quick checks: Make sure the power cable is fully plugged in Check the power switch on the back of the power supply is turned on Try a different wall socket If everything looks correct and it still won’t power on, send me a message and I’ll help troubleshoot further.
This normally comes down to the display cable being connected to the wrong port. Make sure the monitor cable is connected directly to the graphics card rather than the motherboard ports. If that doesn’t resolve it, feel free to contact me and I’ll help diagnose the issue.
Shipping can occasionally cause components to shift slightly. If you notice anything unusual, please do not force anything. Send me a quick photo and I’ll guide you through checking it safely. Most of the time it's something very minor and easy to fix.
No, all drivers are installed and updated before shipping. Your PC should arrive fully ready to use. Just plug it in, connect to the internet, and you're good to go.
Like any computer, Windows will occasionally download updates. This is completely normal and helps keep your system secure and running smoothly.
Yes, absolutely. Most systems have room for additional SSDs or hard drives, so you can easily expand storage later if needed. If you're unsure which upgrade is compatible with your system, just ask and I’ll happily advise.
Gaming PCs will naturally make a bit more noise when under load, especially during gaming or heavy tasks. However, when idle or doing light tasks they should run fairly quietly. If something sounds unusual, feel free to message me and I’ll help check everything is working as it should.
Yes, upgrades like RAM, storage, and graphics cards are usually very straightforward. If you’re planning an upgrade and want to double-check compatibility first, just reach out and I’ll point you in the right direction.
