Warranty & Repairs
We stand by our builds. Every DLBuilds PC includes a 1-year hardware warranty and lifetime technical support. If something isn’t right, tell us, we’ll help.
What’s included
1-year hardware warranty: covers defects in parts and workmanship under normal use. We’ll diagnose and repair, replace the faulty part, or replace the whole unit if needed.
Lifetime technical support: friendly advice by email for setup, drivers, updates, and basic troubleshooting.
Software is not covered by warranty, but we’ll help you troubleshoot.
How to get help (fastest route)
- Email support@dlbuilds.co.uk with your order number and a quick description (photos/video help).
- We’ll run quick checks with you (temps, cables, BIOS, drivers). Many issues are solved here.
- If needed, we’ll issue an RMA and arrange a repair or parts replacement.
Support hours: Mon–Fri (business hours). We aim to respond within one working day.
Repairs & turnaround
Diagnostics: usually 1-2 working days after we receive the PC/part.
Repairs: depends on parts availability; most are completed within 3–7 working days. We’ll keep you updated.
Return shipping is tracked and insured. We pack systems with internal protection to keep GPUs/coolers safe in transit.
What’s not covered (fair use)
- Accidental damage, liquid damage, drops, or physical modification damage
- Damage from misuse, extreme over-volting, or unsupported BIOS/firmware mods
- Normal wear and tear (fans, cables, cosmetic marks)
- Software/data issues (malware, corrupted installs, lost data) — please back up regularly
Upgrades you fit yourself don’t void the warranty. however any part installed yourself won't be covered by us. We'll still cover the PC itself, damage caused while fitting parts isn’t covered. Ask us first if you’re unsure what fits.
Proof of purchase & serials
Please keep your order confirmation. We may ask for the system serial or component serials to speed things up.
After-repair coverage
Repaired or replaced parts are covered for the remainder of your original warranty, or 90 days. Whichever is longer.
Out-of-warranty help
We’re happy to help with paid repairs and upgrades after the warranty period. Email us for a simple estimate before sending anything in.
Packaging for return (important)
Use the original packaging where possible and fit any internal transit foam to protect the GPU and cooler. If you no longer have the foam, tell us, we’ll advise the safest method.
Troubleshooting — quick checks
Try these simple fixes first, they solve most issues in minutes. If the problem persists, email support@dlbuilds.co.uk with photos/video and your order number.
No power / won’t turn on
- Check the mains switch and the rocker switch on the PSU (set to “I”).
- Ensure the 24-pin motherboard and 8-pin CPU cables are seated firmly.
- Remove any internal transit foam if present.
- Try a different wall socket or power lead.
Black screen / no display
- Connect your monitor to the graphics card (not the motherboard ports).
- Try a single cable (DisplayPort or HDMI) and a different monitor input.
- Check the GPU is fully latched and the PCIe power plugs are clicked in.
- Clear CMOS (if you know how) and power on again.
High temps / loud fans
- Make sure any internal transit foam has been removed.
- Update GPU drivers (GeForce/Adrenalin) and Windows updates.
- Check case fans spin freely; ensure front/side intakes aren’t blocked.
- In BIOS, load default/optimized settings; in Windows, set “Balanced” power plan.
Fans/RGB not lighting
- Confirm the ARGB hub is powered via SATA and connected to a 5V 3-pin ARGB header (not 12V 4-pin).
- Check the fan 4-pin PWM connectors are on a fan header or the hub.
- Try the hub’s remote/controller and cycle through modes.
Windows / drivers / activation
- Run Windows Update fully (including optional driver updates).
- Install GPU drivers from NVIDIA/AMD; chipset drivers from the motherboard vendor.
- Activation: connect to the internet and sign into your Microsoft account (if required).
Storage not showing
- Open Disk Management → initialize new drives (GPT) → create a new volume → format NTFS.
- NVMe not detected? Power down and reseat the drive; check the M.2 standoff and screw.
If you’re not comfortable with any step above, stop and message us. We’ll walk you through it safely.
